perfectible | (no subject)

[ Oh God that's a good move. Freedom buzzing in his veins, Jughead moves his hands down along her back, settling on her hips. There's so much he'd like to do right now, but they also have all the time in the world and honestly, despite that heated moment the last time he was in her room he's not sure they're actually fully at that point yet. ]

[ She lets her hands find his shoulders soon after, letting his hands roam, urging her to arch into him a little more. He seems intent on keeping things slow when she feels the urge to go faster, to do more. To cement things. And the last thing she wants right now is for him to stop what they are doing.]

[ He's not stopping, hands moving over the lace of her dress, up over the bare skin of her shoulders to play over the straps. It's getting increasingly difficult to be responsible about this but they haven't and getting over that line between making out for a painfully long time and actually having sex is... difficult to approach. Even more so now when they're in the middle of it. ]

[ She's not about to push him for more if he's not ready. She wants him to be comfortable, she wants him to want this too. They've gotten hot and heavy before, they've gotten close to tipping over that line but never quite crossing it for one reason or another.

She tilts his head a little more, deepening the kiss with a soft, pleasured sound.]

[ He is ready, as much as he'll ever be. It seems like the perfect time for it as well, on Valentine's Day, their first night together in a new, strange place. If not now, when? He makes a needy noise in return, hands finding their way to her thighs, sliding in under her dress. ]

[ She draws in a sharper breath against his lips when his hands find bare skin, her thighs. Her eyes flutter a little and her lips curve into a bit of a distracted smile. She reaches up to pull his hat from his head, letting it drop to the bed beside them, fingers combing through his hair, massaging as she kisses him.

Maybe it's cliche to do this now but at least it's not after prom or something more cheesy. Why not now? Why not when she feels safe and loved, when they won't get interrupted.]

I love you, [ she murmurs out once her lungs demand air and start to burn with the need for it.] I trust you.

I love you too. [ He stays close, lips brushing over hers even as he's trying to catch up on air. As overheated as he is right now he hears what she's saying - that can only mean one thing, right? Only... ]

Do we... [ He licks his lips, nervously. Responsibility. ]

[ Her heart is racing now, just realizing that she thinks he's consenting to what she wants to do with him. It's a big moment. A big step. She's ready. She meant what she said, she loves him, she trusts him.

She nods at his question, feeling her stomach do a somersault when he asks what she thinks he's asking. Heat rises in her cheeks and as she flushes, she nods.] Um, yeah, yea-- I got some, um... [ She tilts her head towards the bedside table and she adds--] I also heard that the nanites also make it so that I can't... you know. [ Get pregnant. Because that would be a disaster and teen pregnancy seems to run in the family.]

[ He raises a brow at that - good to know but also yes, teen pregnancies run in her family and he's pretty sure his dad would kill him from across dimensions if he got her knocked up. He's also not too trusting with what people say about the nanites, especially not with something this important. Condoms are good. ]

Better safe than sorry. [ He smiles, heart thrumming in his chest as he leans back in to kiss her. ]

[ She isn't sure if that particular rumor was true and she wasn't about to risk it. She's honestly relieved when he kisses her again, nodding against his lips before her arms wrap around his neck, urging him closer than before.

She breaks the kiss a little ]

[ He wraps his arms around her as they kiss, hands moving over her back again, searching for a zipper or something. Now that they've come to some sort of decision he feels a different type of nervousness twist in his stomach, making his nerves buzz with excitement. It is a big step, one he takes very seriously. ]

[ His hands wander and she knows where they're going, eventually. There's a zipper at her back and as she breaks the kiss, she moves to tilt his head so that her mouth can wander along his jaw and neck, working to distract him from his task even if she wants him to do it.]

[ It's very effective - he tilts his head to encourage more of that, fumbling with the zipper and eventually getting it open. It's a good thing they've messed around a bit before, he's got a decent handle on things up to a certain point so even with her distraction techniques, he can get the job done. With the zipper open he moves his hands over her bare back, brushing the straps off her shoulders. ]

[ She feels the fabric around her torso loosen and she feels even more breathless than she did before. Her eyes flutter and her mouth sucks gently at the spot just beneath his ear as he slips the straps of her dress down her shoulders.

Her arms move to pull through the thin straps, her dress loosening to expose the strapless bra she's wearing. She pulls back then, to look at him, breathing a little labored.]

You want this, right?

Yes. [ He looks at her, eyes dark and wanting, hands still on her back. ] I want you. I trust you.

[ He leans in to kiss her neck, trailing down towards her collarbone. ]

[ Okay, there's no question in his words and he repeats the words she'd said right back to her. Her eyes flutter shut as his mouth wanders down her neck and her head falls back for a moment as she savors the sensation. It's a familiar one but this time, this time it's even hotter. After a moment, she moves to pull down her dress further, exposing more of her skin to him. ]

[ He continues to kiss her neck and shoulder, hoping that's distracting enough so she won't notice him fumbling with her bra clasp. With it undone, he holds on to her tightly so he can roll her over onto her back and get that dress off all the way. ]

[ She lets out a breathless bout of laughter when he suddenly rolls them, her mouth seeking out his for a happy kiss. Her bra is loose enough that when he does roll them, it becomes dislodged, sliding partially off her chest and baring more skin to him than she's ever showed any guy.

The nervous jitters return as she becomes cognizant of this, kissing him to distraction as one hand moves to pull at the oppressive fabric and tossing it off the bed. It leaves her chest completely bare and she arches to press herself closer for a moment. Her hands move over his back, trying to pull at the fabric there to get them a little more even, trying not feel self-conscious about this, hoping that he will like what he sees when he can see it. ]

[ She does well to distract him, which is probably a good thing right now. He kisses her happily, pulling back only so he can pull off his flannel shirt and tee, tossing them to the floor with little care. This is the first time both of them have been completely topless in bed and he has to pause for just a moment to catch his breath - too hot, and getting hotter. He leans back in to kiss her, one hand moving up her side to gently - nervously - cup a breast. ]

[ The next few movements are a bit frantic on both of their parts, a tangle of limbs while they both work on getting his shirts off then it's back to kissing. Her breathing studders against his lips when his hand finally slides up her body to touch her, a warm hand resting over her chest. Another first for her.

Her eyes flutter and she arches encouragingly into the touch, one hand moving to touch his face, finding this all a little surreal. But in the best way. She hums softly into the kiss now, her free hand moving to slide down along his spine and back up again, every movement she makes is meant to encourage him and to keep her own nerves in check. ]

[ The idea here is to keep going, slow and steady but definitely keep going because if he slows down too much he might start to really think about this and that way lies nerves and anxiety. The last thing he wants tonight is an interruption, now that they're finally away from everyone else who might distract.

The touch of her hand down his back sends a pleasurable shudder through his body, leaving in a soft sigh against her lips. He does trust her, trusts that what they have is stronger than all the white noise, that they're good and ready for this even if it'll be awkward and fumbling. ]

I love you.

[ There's no rush here, there's nothing to prove. And most of all, there's nothing keeping them apart. For now. They don't have to be Romeo and Juliet anymore, they can just be Jughead and Betty. He's doing a good job of making her feel comfortable, his words spoken out against her lips make her smile. ]

I love you, Jughead Jones. [ Her hands move now, fingers sliding back down his spine once again, hoping to get one more shudder from him before they find the waistband of his pants. Her fingers dance along the edges until they've circled to his front, working to unfasten them.]

[ She does get another shiver out of him, which to be fair isn't that difficult considering how stimulated he feels right about now. He draws a breath when her fingers find the front of his jeans - this is new. They've had some pretty heavy make outs and he's been in various states of undress around here before, but nothing with this much intent. It makes him nervous and excited all at once, nerves humming with anticipation. ]

[ For all that she is nervous, it's actually not that hard to get his jeans open and unfastened. It's just once she gets that done, her brain sort of stutters. Okay, yes, the two of them both being completely topless is farther than they've ever gone before but she's about to take a much bigger step.

Her eyes open to look at him then, just briefly, her breathing labored. ] Okay, [ she says it aloud without really meaning to, a smile curving her lips.

She's got this.

There's a swell of confidence that strikes her and she moves to push at his jeans, trying to get them lower on his hips before she speaks again.] Off. [ One hand moves to push at her dress which has just been pooled at her waist right now.] And this too.

[ He furrows his brows a bit at that contextless okay and then she's pushing at his jeans, which erases any other stray thought he might've had. He can practically see the confidence rise in her and honestly, it's a bit of a turn-on. Betty's always been good at taking action and right now he's grateful for it, rolling off her for a moment so he can get his jeans off. If she hasn't already gotten the dress out of the way, that'll be his next target. ]
