Okay. [ He releases some of that tension in a soft sigh, trying to relax and go with it, resuming a steady rhythm of gentle thrusts. His attention is still fully on her, even as he bows his head to kiss her neck. ]

[ And her words turn out to be true, it takes a few moments but eventually, his movements become less painful and start to feel... better. She sighs her own sigh of relief when it does, although a moment later she lets out a soft moan against his ear when his mouth finds a sensitive patch of skin at her neck, distracting her further.

One hand moves to bury itself in the hair at the base of his neck as the other moves to his side, over his lower back, her legs parting further, giving him more room to move.] Jug, that feels good.

Yeah? [ That's a relief to hear, honestly. It allows him to get into it, to take advantage of how he feels like maybe he's starting to get the hang of this. He gains some confidence in the movements, spurred on by the hand on his back. ]

Yeah, [ she pants out softly, her eyes fluttering as she arches a little into him, trying to encourage him further. Grunting softly, Jughead focuses on the movement, on keeping the rhythm of fluid thrusts going for as long as he's able. He's young and inexperienced, so that may not be that long if he's honest. ]

[ Perhaps unlike most girls her own age, Betty isn't shy about praising him. And well, as things progress between them physically, she probably won't have any issues with directing him in what to do to make her feel good.

It doesn't take too long before he reaches his limit, her name spilling over his lips as he hits climax with a shudder. ]

[ It may not be perfect by someone else's standards but it is by hers. She may not have come herself, however, she feels triumphant as she feels his body tense above hers, when it's her name that he breathes out as he comes undone.

Her eyes flutter and she smiles breathlessly at him, nodding at his question.] Yeah, [ she hums, a little sore but feeling elated.] Yeah, I am. [ She shifts a little, turning her head to look at him.] I love you too.

[ He won''t go far, just enough so he can dispose of the condom as discreetly as possible before snuggling back up to her. Everything is good right now. Every single thing. ]

For being our first Valentine's Day, I'd say we did pretty okay.

[ With the condom in the wastebasket close to her bed and forgotten, she's happy to cuddle up next to him. She tucks herself against him, draping her arm over his torso.]

Yeah, [ she says with a soft laugh, her eyes closing for a moment.] Do you feel any different?

I don't know. [ He sighs softly, content staying here for possibly the rest of his life. It's such a momentous occasion and he's more than happy that they finally got to this point, but her question brings him pause. ]

Maybe a little? Do you?

[ She glances down at herself as if she might see something different. But she doesn't. She feels the same, a little sore but the same as before. Smiling quietly to herself, she shakes her head.] I don't think so.

[ She shifts then, moving to prop herself up a little more so she can lean over him and kiss him because... well, it feels like it's been too long.]

[ This persistent idea that losing your virginity is a big, earth-shattering deal and then when you do it it's really not that is always going to surprise some teens, huh? He's not a fan of manufacturing emotion so in the end he just shrugs it off, happy to kiss her again. He brushes a hand back through her hair, breaking the kiss a little shyly after a moment. ]

You know... if you want me to do anything..? [ He's pretty sure she didn't finish and that seems unfair. ]

[ Betty's always been pretty realistic. She knew that it wouldn't be followed up by some kind of chorus of angels or that she'd feel instantly like an adult. But it's kind of nice to know that nothing's changed, in a positive way. She still loves him, maybe a bit more than she did before if only because he's the only one she's ever done this with, the first. And as cliche as it might be, she knows that she's never going to regret that.

When the kiss breaks, she glances down at him, her free hand moving touch his cheek, her lips curving. He's so completely appealing when he's shy, when he's vulnerable in a way she only gets to see. She smiles down at him, utterly smitten, ]

What did you have in mind, Mr. Jones?

[ It's true that he has a whole spectrum of emotions reserved for her eyes only. She's found so much more in him than the broody, sardonic weirdo who takes to anger more than anything and he'll be forever grateful for that. Heat rises in his cheeks, a soft blush that has exactly zero things to do with shame. ]

Depends on what you'll let me do, but I have a couple of ideas. [ He knows things, vaguely, and compared to other less pleasurable things he's found himself capable of, making his girlfriend feel good seems downright easy. ]

[ He's not the only one who's laid themselves bare. He knows the darkest parts of her, he's seen her scars, both external and internal. And he loves her all the same, the pedestal he puts her on isn't as lofty as the one Archie puts her on or the one her parents force her upon. She can be who she is with him.

Which is why it's easy to play it flirty with him now, to smile coyly at him and understand that whatever he wants to do to her, she can give him direction, if he needs it.

She nuzzles his lips with her own, still smiling:] You've had some pretty good ideas in the past so... [ Her eyes meet with his.] I trust you, remember?

I remember. [ He smiles, stealing a kiss and maybe this is the change people talk about because he does feel more confident about this than he did an hour ago. Maybe the freedom of knowing it's not as big a deal as some people paint it out to be is the real difference. ]

On your back, then.

[ It helps, getting the awkwardness out of the way. It's hard to be shy with someone who was as close as two people can get with you, inside of you. And yeah, maybe they didn't get a complete look at each other naked but she's still more comfortable laying in this bed with him than she was a few moments ago, the tension of the first time jitters having melted away.

At his words, she smiles a bit wider, nodding before she steals another kiss and then moves to lay back against the pillows, on her back, heat creeping along her skin in anticipation.]

[ He follows along as she moves, propping himself up over her. There's a vague plan forming but just like before he has every intention of taking it slow and easy, give himself time to work things out and for her to give him needed instructions.

Leaning in to kiss her neck, Jughead starts on a slow trail down her collarbone, further down over her sternum, slowly working over her soft skin. ]

[ She draws in a steady breath when his lips graze her neck and then slowly work their way downward. For a moment, she isn't sure what to do beyond lay there and enjoy it. But she does let her hand move to touch his hair, fingers combing restlessly through it, enjoying the sensation as well as the feeling of his lips against her skin.]

[ Her laying there and enjoying it is kind of what this is about to some degree, so he's certainly not complaining. He's emboldened by her fingers in his hair and decides to explore the options a bit more instead of just going for it, moving to the side to kiss along the curve of her breast, narrowing in on the nipple. ]

[ She draws in a sharper breath when his mouth closes in on her breast, goosebumps forming over her skin as she shivers at the sensation. Shifting beneath him, her back bows a little, encouraging him further because the feeling of his lips against that sensitive peak is certainly new and very welcome.
