perfectible | (no subject)

See? Doubly good. [ He does follow her once he's sufficiently dry, towel wrapped loosely around his waist, stifling a yawn. It's been a long day and it's starting to take its toll. Crawling into bed for cuddles seems like an excellent end to it. ]

[ Once she reaches the bed, she looks at him with an expression that is half mischevious and half sheepish. She pulls the towel from her body, giving herself one last dry off before she tosses it in the direction of the laundry hamper nearby and she climbs back into the bed.

She gets beneath all the covers, feeling a jittery sort of excitement at the idea that he'll be here when she wakes up.]

[ Of course he looks - that seems to be her intention anyway so it should be fine? There's a brief moment when he's caught up in the moment and then he shakes out of it, lets his towel join hers in the hamper before joining her in bed. ]

Tired?

Exhausted, [ and a little sore. But she's not about to tell him that. She simply smiles at him, settling against the pillows, waiting for him to get comfortable himself. Then snuggles can be had.] It was all perfect.

[ He stretches out under the covers with a little groan and a sigh. Long day was long and he can't wait to get out of the waiter game so he doesn't have to spend all day on his feet - more power to those who can, honestly. ]

You'll hear no complaints from me. [ He rolls over to reach for her. Let's get comfortable and eventually sleep. ]

[ She moves so he can spoon her close, letting out a contented sigh of her own as she lets herself close her eyes. That's when she hears the TV. She stretches, briefly, for the remote to turn it off before she tosses that somewhere she can find it later.]

Thank you, Jughead.

[ This is perfect, arm slung over her waist, the scent of her still somewhat damp hair in his nose. He'd be happy to fall asleep like this every night and maybe it'll come to that or something close to it. He nuzzles in, sleep already weighing down his voice. ]

For what?

For making this great. [ He could have easily barreled on in and gotten "his rocks off" and rolled over to sleep. But that's not the man she loves, that's not the kind of person he is and he proved that tonight with the tenderness and care he showed her.

And well, that orgasm wasn't something she was going to complain about one bit.]

[ Yeah, that approach wasn't even a possibility as far as he's concerned. Sex isn't that high of a priority as is, if he's going to do it it's going to be with someone he loves, with as much tender care as possible. ]

I should be thanking you for that. [ He kisses her gently on the back of her head. ]

We can thank each other, [ she murmurs as she feels sleep tugging at the edges of her consciousness. Her eyes flutter shut after a moment as she snuggles back against him.]

Mmmm.... [ she mumbles the next words:] I like the way this feels.

Me too. It feels right.

[ The two of them, falling asleep together. Not the first time this has happened, but it's been an accident more than anything in the past. ]

Mmmyeah. [ Her eyes stay shut now as she hums softly, keeping close but letting herself drift towards slumber.] Night, Jughead.

Night. Betty. [ And whenever morning comes he'll stick around as long as he can, rather than rushing off to serial killers and gang wars and school. They deserve as much. ]

[ And in the morning, she will probably be convinced to make breakfast (and by make, she'll just grab it pre-made from the magic fridge) and they can laze around in bed until her dinner shift at the diner.]
