[And just a few minutes later, he's waiting right outside, his hands in his pockets. When he sees her he brightens a little, hoping that the cute blonde is Betty Cooper, because he really does have a thing for blondes. She doesn't look a thing like Sabrina, but she has that same air about her.

He uncrosses his arm and takes a hold of his bag.]

Betty?

[ When she sees him, somehow she knows it's him. There's something about the tall, dark and handsome boy and the way he stands... it's almost magical. The idea makes her roll her eyes at herself as she speeds up and he says her name, confirming her suspicion.

Nodding, she offers him a smile and her hand to shake.] That's me.

[occultatum]

[His smile is charming, and he's pleased he was right. He shakes her hand, and his hand is warm.]

Nice to meet you.

[He opens the door for her like he's a gentleman, and follows her in.]

How long have you been in this...we should agree what to call it. Annoying heavenscape?

[Damn those witch tendencies of speech.]

Heavenscape? Hardly. [ she says with a skeptical expression after murmuring a word of thanks to him for opening the door for her.]

"City" is fine. And I've been here for a few months now.

[He looks over and finds a table, not a booth, and sits down. It's near the wall, and Nick waits as she sits.]

[ She sighs softly, sitting down across from him.] They don't mess around here. They abuse the people in the Down, truly. Be thankful you're a Dominant.

[He sighs.]

Are you in college? [ she couldn't quite guess his age.]

[He makes kind of a face, like he's considering his options and weighing them. Well. Maybe?]

It has its moments. Cute girls.

[ She laughs softly at that.] That's good.

What's Riverdale like?

[perfectible]

[ she puts it simply.] Small town full of secrets and murder.

[occultatum]

So like every down in the area, then.

[ she looks up at him, eyebrows lifted.] Greendale's that bad? [ she'd heard rumors.]

Don't you have rumors?

Greendale's full of evil witches, don't you know that?

[He says it with a tone of a joke, but you know.

It's kind of true.]

I've just heard it's kind of spooky and I've heard about the witches that died there. And it was always foggy whenever I drove through there.

[occultatum]

The Greendale Thirteen.

[He says it easily.]

We like our atmosphere.

The fog and the mystery? [ She smirks at him, glancing up at the waiter as he comes to take their order. She orders a strawberry milkshake instead of coffee because she's Betty Cooper.]

And the creepy forests and the deep mines.

[He's laughing.]

Hey, at least we're up front about it.

Oh, we're all about secrets and suppressing everything in Riverdale.

[occultatum]

No place is that bright without some serious problems.

[At least he'll readily admit it.]

[ she's starting to think so too.]
