[ She follows suit, of course, moving to finish her drink and a slice of pizza before she moves to stand, offering to take his plate so she can take it to the kitchen.
Though here is the moment of truth, in a manner of speaking. ]
[ She lets out an astonished laugh although she knows she shouldn't be surprised by him anymore. She puts the dishes in the sink and turns to look at him, laughing. It doesn't really matter what they wear, truly, considering they've seen each other naked. Multiple times.]
You're ridiculous. [ Moving to lead him towards the terrace where her hot tub is located, she moves to pull her shirt up and off, letting it fall to the ground.]
Betty. [ He raises his eyebrows at her, looking innocent. ] Y'know, I'd appreciate a little respect?
[ Still smirking, he follows her out onto the terrace, undoing his belt as he walks so he's basically shedding layers as he walks. He's naked by the time he actually reaches the tub, which he wastes no time climbing into. ]
[ After she snags a bottle of wine off the bar and heads towards the terrace, she won't deny herself the opportunity to let her gaze roam over his body as he walks and divests himself of his clothing. Stopping by the hot tub, she gets the rest of her clothes off and moves to join him, sitting across from him.
She twists the bottle top off the wine and takes a long sip before offering it to him.]
[ Reggie does her the same honor in return, his eyes raking slowly up and down her body with no effort at subtlety. They are way, way past subtlety by now.
He sits down slowly, body adjusting to the temperature bit by bit, then takes the wine bottle and has a generous swig from it himself. Wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, he passes the bottle back. ]
Yeah. [ With a laugh of his own, and a shrug. ] It's not like Nick had one of these bad boys in that old church.
[ Not that Reggie ever minded, of course. It never would have even occurred to him to miss hot tubs, or anything else the church might have lacked. Not then.
He sits back, stretching his arms out along the rim. ]
Hot tubs don't exactly go with the dark church aesthetic. [ She lets out an amused huff, still unsure of what he might be sensitive about and what he might not be.]
That's for sure. [ He tilts his head back, sighing with content. ] I mean like, the inside was still pretty livable and all that, but you know how he is-- probably never even heard of hot tubs.
[ Another sigh, more genuine this time. Is, was, the idea of even having to start changing tenses when talking about Nick is another unexpected twist of the knife. He lapses into a vaguely awkward silence, suddenly not sure what he wants to say. ]
Magic hot tubs are probably something else entirely-- [ She offers before the silence settles in and she takes a moment to let it settle before he breaks it.]
I have an extra room for you, yes. [ Not that she wouldn't mind him being around either but it might make things awkward if either of them wanted to bring someone home.]
And obviously, if you want to have guests or whatever-- [ she lets out a little, almost bashful laugh.] You're welcome to.
Nah. [ He shakes his head. ] I don't usually like to bring people home, it gets too complicated.
[ Be it back in Riverdale or while he was living with Nick. If he had his own place, no parents or roommates or boyfriends or anything, then maybe, but... ]
But just give me a head's up when you've got company. Y'know, sock on the door or whatever.
[ She gives a half-shrug.] It's up to you. [ It won't bother her if he brings people home, so long as they're not having sex in the living room or something.]

Though here is the moment of truth, in a manner of speaking. ]
Do you want to change or...?

[ He smirks though, figuring it has to be "nothing" as he begins shrugging off his jacket, then pulls off his shirt. ]
I'll do it when we get there.

I could definitely get used to this.

The hot tub?

But it is one of the perks of living here.

Uh... anyway...

So what can I do to make you comfortable here?
no subject
Don't worry about that, this place is plenty comfortable already. And I get my own room too, right?
[ Not that he's opposed to spending nights in her bed, though. ]

I'll just text you or something.
