[ Reggie's been justifying to himself why maybe it's better, for a number of reasons, that he doesn't tell Archie, that it didn't seem right to tell him without Ronnie around, that Ronnie ended things so it's a moot point anyway, that Reggie just didn't want to potentially jeopardize their friendship before he had to over someone who wasn't around, but--

He does know that Betty's right, he wouldn't have felt guilty about it all this time if he didn't know he needed to be honest about this. Not that he's going to have a choice much longer anyway. ]

He hasn't learned, no, because he hasn't faced any consequences (yet) for not telling Archie-- only guilt. But at this point it's only a matter of time, days if not hours, before he does have to face the music.

Jughead said he didn't want details so...[ she hasn't told him what happened on the elevator. or that anything happened with archie. but she suspects he might know about the latter. ]

[ Betty and Archie is complicated in a way that parallels Veronica and Reggie pretty closely-- not as closely as it would Veronica and Jughead, obviously, it's not a direct counterpart, but it's similar. ]

Yeah, she would.

[ Reggie thinks Veronica will understand because that's more or less how the two of them came to be: Archie wasn't around and Reggie was, and he wasn't just there, he was there for her. They became close and they hadn't planned it, and maybe he would still never be her first choice, but neither of them knew if they'd ever see Archie again.

It isn't quite the same, but it isn't that different, either. It might be hard for Veronica to hear, but he can't imagine her not finding a way to forgive it.

And maybe the same goes for Archie. Reggie doesn't know. ]
