[ she switches it to video; and he'll see that she's wearing something completely different: a sweater with jeans, her hair is pulled back in a neat ponytail, her makeup is soft and sweet unlike the dark hues she'd been rocking in the feed and there's no way she could have gotten changed that quickly.]

[ the change is stunning and jughead is severely confused for a moment. how did she manage to get dressed so quickly? and how does she not know what he's talking about? ]

[ he can see the way she's clearly embarrassed, not at all like the woman who'd been on the feed earlier. and he believes her when she says she's been doing research. that's more like the betty he knows. and though he'd rather liked the betty in the camshow, she simply doesn't hold a candle to the betty he knows and loves. ]

Okay, okay. It's all right. We'll get to the bottom of this. Clearly they're messing with us, so we just have to figure out a way to take it down. Do you want to do that?

What happened? What did... she do? [ she hadn't been able to watch the whole thing, she couldn't bring herself to right now but she will.]

Uh... [ now he's a bit mortified, not sure if he wants to explain the whole thing. ]

It was kind of like phone sex, just you and me. But... when I was about to come, the feed cut out.

[ he's wincing, cheeks flushed by having to say that out loud. ]

We'll find a way to take it down. Try not to think about it too much.
