[ She looks impressed by this idea.] And how do you do research? Do you do it here?

I do. There's plenty of information to be had that seems to be consistent with everything I know from home. There's no way to truly know for sure, of course.

[He's delighted by her interest.]

So is that what you're researching here then?

It is. I've been spending most of my spare time either at the library researching or in my room sifting through the information.

If you ever need help... [ She smiles at him.] I was in charge of my school's newspaper and researching was kind of my thing...

[He smiles back at her.]

That would be wonderful. I can always use more hands.

[He leans back on the pillows in the little nest that is next to the window, taking the book that Betty offered.]

It might help having new, fresh eyes looking at everything.

I'm not sure how fresh they are at the moment-- [ She smiles a little self-deprecatingly, she leans back even more.] But I'd be really happy to help you however I can.

Not right now of course, [he offers a sympathetic little smile.]

For now--relaxing with our books.

Yes, relaxing. [ She smiles softly, gratefully, moving to get comfortable completely and open up her book to where she'd left off. Already her eyes are feeling heavy, after just a few moments but she struggles to keep them open. ]

[He happily gets to his own book and begins--he's a voracious reader and definitely reads faster than most people. After a few minutes of not hearing Betty turn a page, he looks over at her, noticing her struggle to keep awake.]

Sleep, [he murmurs, not wanting to disturb her too much.] I'll be here when you wake up.

Hm? [ she wakes up a little, glancing up at him sheepishly.] I'm sorry, you're supposed to be keeping me company and I'm falling asleep on you.

Don't be. If you're able to sleep, take the chance. [and he flashes her a bright smile. As an insomniac, he can appreciate when he actually feels tired--she should seize her chance.]

[ She lets out a soft sigh, letting her book lay on her stomach as she starts to drift off with a soft, murmured 'Thank you'. It's a few minutes later that she shifts, curling towards the warm body next to her, tucking herself against Gansey's side and sighing contently, sleeping a dreamless sleep.]

[Gansey is glad she's comfortable enough to fall asleep at least.

He smiles to himself when she curls up to him. Gently, he reaches for a fleece blanket next to him and spreads it over Betty's resting form, one arm loosely around her shoulder to keep her near and he uses the other hand to continue reading.

He will happily stay like this awhile.]
