perfectible | (no subject)

[ He can never say no to her, least of all now and within a few thrusts he falls over the edge, buries his face in the crook of his neck as the tensions of that entire evening unravel in him. He shudders, drawing aching breath after aching breath, never wanting to leave this room, this bed, this very spot.

Eventually he comes down from it with a shaky sigh, eases off just a bit so he can get some air and cool off. ]

[ It's strange how she can almost feel every ounce of tension spring forward in that moment, like something within him snapped. She holds him through it, moves how she needs to, holds him closer and runs her mouth along his temple and forehead as he rides it all out.

Once he pulls back, she lets out her own sigh, smiling to herself, her own breathing uneven but contentedly so.]

[ He smiles at her, leans down to plant a soft trail of kisses down her neck before moving off her. He stays close though, nuzzling against her and sliding a hand down her side. ]

Hey.

[ Her smile is something between coy and shy, lips curved just ever so slightly.]

Hey, [ she lets out another soft sigh before catches his hand so she can entwine her fingers with his.]

[ He lets her catch his hand, giving hers a little squeeze in return. Exhaustion is starting to take hold - it's kind of a miracle that he didn't crash before even coming to her room - but he's making an effort to not be That Guy. ]

You're incredible. Do you know that?

[ She wants to ask him more about the concert, she wants to see if he's calmed down enough to articulate more what it was all about. But she can sense him fading fast and honestly, she's tired herself, having been woken up in the middle of the night.]

I don't know about incredible but... [ she brings his hand to her lips for a kiss.] Thank you for thinking so.

I'm just telling the truth.

[ And maybe he's a little biased but honestly who cares. He nuzzles in against her. ]

I'm glad you think so--[ a yawn interrupts whatever else she might have said and she looks sheepish.] I want to ask you a hundred more questions about the concert but I'm not sure I'll make it past two.

I'll tell you all about it in the morning. [ He places a soft kiss on her forehead. ] Get some sleep.

Mmmkay, [ she says softly, nuzzling his cheek for a moment before she moves to settle down against the bed.] I'm glad you came.

[ He snuggles down with her, fitting their bodies together with a soft sigh.

Me too. I missed you tonight.

[ ~~bahahaha~~

She closes her eyes with her own soft sigh.] I'm sorry I didn't go. I was so tired from work and it didn't seem like something I'd like, I guess. [ It's a good thing she hadn't gone, honestly. Their night would have ended up a lot different and probably require some serious therapy hours on Betty's part.]

That's okay. There'll be more concerts.

[ She's right about it probably not being her thing and honestly, a part of him is glad she wasn't there - she may say that she's all for the Serpent lifestyle, but he wonders if she would be if she lived in it full time. Tonight... it was pretty extreme. ]

[ Someday she'll prove it to him, that she's meant to be by his side, no matter the circumstance. If she knew he had doubts, she'd do whatever she could to prove to him that she can handle herself. Serpent lifestyle feels like nothing compared to being stalked by a serial killer. ]

I'll go to the next one, promise.

[ The difference there is, perhaps, that the Serpent lifestyle is something he's chosen, something he thrives in, not a horrible situation to survive. Comparing the two is... well. Not the best, in his eyes. ]

Okay. We'll go together. [ He gives her another sleepy kiss, slowly drifting off. It's been a long night. ]
